Reinventing VEED for the agentic era

// ABOUT THIS SESSION

After six years building one of the most feature-rich video editors in the market, VEED made a deliberate architectural shift: from an editor where users spent most of their time on execution, to a generative-first platform where that labour is offloaded to AI. The generative offering combines Fabric, VEED's proprietary image-to-video model available via API and MCP, with integrated third-party models including Kling, Wan, and VEO — all inside a single product. Going generative-first required rewiring both team mindset and system architecture to be model-native and API-first, while keeping the core editor business healthy through the transition. Exposing Fabric as infrastructure introduced a second quality bar: third-party products holding VEED to API-grade reliability in environments it doesn't control.
